Graham Clayton graduated from Camberwell School of Arts in the late nineties with a First Class Honours degree in ceramics following an earlier career in advertising. He has an established studio in south-east London where he continues to develop sculptural and ceramics pieces.

Clayton is an ‘ideas’ person, whether molding from and re-assembling modern toys to create unusual pieces or taking inspiration from cave paintings and the esoteric. He uses clay and other mediums to express these ‘ideas’.

His work is mainly figurative and he is as happy making a clay vessel as making a metal sculpture, decorating a plate, vintage tea cups, or fossilizing plants or found object into a handmade tile.
